For many, potatoes are almost the most important ingredient for side dishes and various dishes. It happens that there comes a moment when all the goodies from this vegetable are tired, and you want something new, and, of course, original. In general, potatoes are the product with which you can experiment hundreds of times.
Indian potatoes are an unusual dish and have only such a name, this particular dish has nothing to do with India, it got its name only for a few notes that paprika seasoning adds to it. But, nevertheless, Indian potatoes are something new, original and very tasty, and they are also a great alternative to the usual fried potatoes that everyone is so used to.
Ingredients:
- Potatoes – 6 pcs.
- Paprika seasoning (powder) – 1 tsp
- Salt and pepper – to taste.
- Carrots – 2 pcs.
- Vegetable oil – 40 ml.
How to cook:
1. Since the set of ingredients is very simple, the cooking process itself is quite simple and fast. Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Peel carrots and potatoes.
2. Wash and chop vegetables. Carrots are best cut into circles, if it is too wide in diameter, then each circle can be cut in half. Cut the potatoes into not too thick slices, but you can also use medium-sized regular slices as for the usual fried potatoes. The main thing is that the carrots should not be much larger than the pieces of potatoes.
3. When the most important ingredients are ready to cook, salt and pepper them. Mix.
4. Put in a frying pan heated with oil. Fry until fully cooked.
5. Shortly before the end of cooking, sprinkle potatoes with carrots with paprika powder.
6. Mix well.
Serve while the dish is still hot. Arrange in portions on plates and sprinkle with freshly picked herbs if desired.
Such a side dish is suitable for any kind of meat, fish or poultry.
