Cottage cheese fingers are one of the options for a quick and tasty dessert made from cottage cheese, which tastes very much like traditional cheesecakes. Such a sweet cottage cheese dish can easily be prepared for breakfast with tea.
It is worth noting that you can control the sweetness of this dessert at your discretion: in the presented recipe, the curd fingers are moderately sweet, if desired, for the sweet tooth, the amount of sugar can be increased, and for those who do not like sweets, on the contrary, reduce.
Ingredients:
- Cottage cheese – 350 g.
- Flour – 200-250 g.
- Sugar – 3-4 tbsp. l.
- Salt – 1/3 tsp.
- Baking powder – 1 tsp
- Sour cream – 1-2 tbsp. l.
- Egg – 1 pc.
- Vanilla sugar – 1 sachet.
- Vegetable oil – for frying.
How to cook:
1. Put the cottage cheese (you can take it both fat-free and with a small percentage of fat content) in a deep bowl, add sugar and salt, vanilla sugar or a few drops of vanillin to it, mix thoroughly.
If you want your cottage cheese fingers to turn out tender and airy, you must first rub the cottage cheese through a sieve (you can use a blender) or use a ready-made curd mass.
2. Then pour in the baking powder.
3. Add sour cream and egg to cottage cheese, mix thoroughly until a homogeneous curd mass is formed.
4. Pour the sifted flour in small portions, and knead the curd dough.
5. After that, form small fingers out of it.
6. Preheat the pan, after pouring vegetable oil into it, put the formed curd fingers on it.
7. Fry them over medium heat on both sides until golden brown.
Put the fried cottage cheese fingers on a paper towel or napkin to remove excess fat, and then serve. An excellent addition to such a curd dessert is sour cream or jam.
Enjoy your meal!
