Crostini with tomato and cheese are delicious crispy Italian-style sandwiches. There are a lot of sandwich recipes, and every hostess strives to come up with something new and original for the holiday.
We suggest making small baguette crostini sandwiches. Instead of traditional sausage and smoked sprats, use Feta cheese and juicy tomatoes, this filling is very healthy and tasty, everyone will definitely like it. The bread is not fried, but baked in the oven – which is also much healthier than frying a baguette in a pan with butter.
Ingredients:
- Baguette – 150 g.
- Feta cheese – 100 g.
- Tomatoes – 100 g.
- Garlic – 1-2 cloves.
- Dill – 3-4 g.
- Olive oil – to taste.
- Salt, black pepper – to taste.
How to cook:
1. Cut the baguette into medium-thick slices.
Yesterday’s bread is ideal for the recipe – it does not crumble so much.
2. Bake the baguette slices in an oven preheated to 200C. Let them brown and become crispy.
3. Grease the finished baked baguette pieces with a clove of garlic, grate the bread. Sandwiches will be more fragrant and slightly spicy.
4. Drizzle the baguette pieces with fragrant extra virgin olive oil.
5. Rinse the tomatoes, cut into small cubes.
6. Feta cheese also cut into small cubes or crumble, as it turns out.
Feta cheese is fragile, it is not always possible to cut it. You can also crush it.
7. Finely chop fresh fragrant dill – it harmonizes perfectly with cheese and tomatoes.
8. Put cheese and tomatoes in a container.
9. Pour in the stuffing and dill. You can use basil instead of dill, it also goes well with feta, olive oil and tomatoes.
10. Stir the filling, add spices to taste, pour a little olive oil.
11. Put all the filling on the baguette pieces – the crostini are ready.
Serve immediately while the crostini are crispy. A light and savory snack that you and your guests will love!
Bon appetit!
