French fries were invented in Belgium. The dish is popular all over the world. It is prepared on the streets and in fast food establishments. This dish is loved by children and adults. We offer you a recipe for french fries cooked in the oven without a drop of fat. The dish turns out to be dietary and suitable for a children’s menu. Potatoes will be appreciated by all supporters of a healthy lifestyle and PP. In order to get a crispy crust, and the vegetables do not dry out, we need chicken protein. When baking french fries in the oven, be sure to use a non-stick mat or use a silicone substrate. Parchment paper or a metal baking sheet will not work – the potato pieces will stick to the base “to death”. Spices and aromatic herbs are allowed to vary to taste. Potatoes can be served as an appetizer or as a side dish for fish and meat.
Ingredients:
- Potatoes – 0.5 kg.
- Protein – 1 pc.
- Salt – to taste.
- Paprika – 2 g.
- Paprika – 1 g.
How to cook:
1. Peel the potatoes, cut into longitudinal slices 0.7 cm thick. Cut each slice into four strips. Rinse potatoes in running water from excess starch, dry in a towel.
2. Separate the protein from the yolk. Beat egg white with a pinch of salt with a fork.
3. Add dry spices.
4. Stir the mixture until smooth.
5. Put the potatoes into a bowl.
6. Pour egg white whipped with salt and spices into potatoes.
7. Stir the contents of the bowl so that the protein mixture covers each piece of potato.
8. Line a baking sheet with a non-stick mat. Arrange the potato wedges in a single layer on the mat. Bake products in the oven 210 degrees until golden brown. You will need about 40 – 50 minutes.
9. Transfer the french fries to a serving plate, garnish with herbs and top with tomato sauce.
Delicious fragrant potatoes with a crispy golden crust are very similar to the classic version of the dish. Feel free to treat children with french fries, the dish can be served even at the very late dinner.
