Very juicy, well-shaped, baked under a protective vegetable sauce, these lazy cabbage rolls are really easy to prepare, and absolutely any cabbage is suitable for them – from last season, and young, and with any size of leaves.
Ingredients:
- Poultry fillet – 500 g.
- Rice (any) – 80 g.
- Cabbage – 400 g.
- Onion – 130 g.
- Garlic – 2 cloves.
- Egg – 1 pc.
- Crumb crumbs for deboning – 100 g.
Vegetable gravy:
- Onion – 100 g.
- Carrots – 150 g.
- Tomatoes – 300 g.
- Garlic – 2 cloves.
- Lavrushka – 1 leaf.
- Water – 250 ml.
How to cook:
1. Bring rice in hot water to a boil and immediately remove from heat. Leave to stand under the lid. Cabbage cut into cubes, pour boiling water to the top, cover and let it stand for 10 minutes to sof10.
2. Next, throw the mashed cabbage cubes into a colander.
3. Grind the turkey flesh, like onions, in a meat grinder.
4. After draining excess water from the rice, add it to the minced meat along with the cabbage.
5. Crack an egg in here.
6. Now the minced meat needs to be seasoned with salt, black pepper and mix thoroughly. You can even beat it a little so that it becomes thicker and more elastic.
7. With wet hands, form cabbage rolls and roll them in breadcrumbs.
8. Grease a mold or baking sheet with refined oil. Lay out the prepared blanks there. At 190 degrees, hold them in the oven for 20 minutes.
9. In the meantime, do the gravy. Grate the carrots, cut the onion into small pieces.
10. Cut the tomatoes in half for convenience and grate, holding the skin with your hand, until it becomes thinner (then discard it).
11. Fry onions and carrots in a small amount of purified (odorless) oil.
12. Pour the tomato and water here. Adjust the taste with salt and a pinch of sugar. Boil the gravy for a minute and then add the crushed garlic.
13. After 20 minutes spent in the oven, the lazy cabbage rolls got stronger and began to keep their shape well.
14. Pour them with sauce and send them back to the oven, but now for half an hour.
The dish turns out to be very juicy, lazy cabbage rolls do not fall apart, and vegetable sauce can also act as a side dish. Either with sour cream, or with mayonnaise – it’s very tasty, try it!
Bon appetit!
