In the season of fresh vegetables, you want something light and tasty. Cook pickled tomatoes in garlic sauce. They do not require much time and expensive products to prepare. Appetizer salad will complement not only the home, but also the festive table.
Ingredients:
- Tomatoes – 350-400 g.
- Sweet pepper – 1-2 pcs.
- Garlic – 2-3 cloves.
- Hot pepper – to taste.
- Sugar – 25 g.
- Table vinegar – 0.5-1 tbsp. l.
- Salt – 0.5 tbsp. l.
- Vegetable oil – 40 g.
- Greens – 1 bunch.
How to cook:
1. First, prepare the tomatoes.
Buy ripe, small vegetables with firm, red, pink, or yellow flesh. You can take a mixture of different colors to make the appetizer even more beautiful.
Transfer to a colander and rinse each tomato well with cold water. Pat dry with a towel to remove excess moisture.
2. Choose a suitable container with a lid for pickling tomatoes. Cut in half with a sharp knife. Transfer the sliced wedges to the prepared container.
3. Now prepare the fragrant marinating mixture. To do this, take a small sweet pepper, you can have a different color. Remove seeds, rinse and cut into small pieces.
4. Peel the garlic from the husk. Rinse, cut into arbitrary pieces. Free the hot pepper from the seeds, cut into rings. Take its amount to your taste. Add vegetables to sweet peppers.
5. From the greens, dill, parsley, cilantro, basil, celery are suitable. Choose at your discretion. Rinse and pat dry with a tissue. Cut into pieces and move to vegetables. Stir.
6. Move vegetables with herbs to a blender bowl. Add salt, sugar, table vinegar, odorless vegetable oil. Beat until you get a homogeneous slurry. Taste and adjust to your liking. Vinegar can be replaced with lemon juice.
7. Pour the marinating mixture over the tomatoes. Stir gently. Cover and refrigerate for 10-12 hours. Periodically, the contents of the container can be shaken slightly for a more even pickling.
Marinated tomatoes in garlic sauce are ready. Serve as an accompaniment to meat and fish dishes or as an independent snack.
