Salad “Austrian” in appearance is very beautiful and tasty. It is made from sardine and hard cheese. These ingredients are basic, which is why when choosing them at the grocery store, you should pay close attention to their expiration date. You should also buy sardines from a trusted manufacturer.
The salad must be laid out in layers in a bowl, therefore, to make it look more impressive, it is better to use transparent dishes. On top of the salad, you can decorate with finely chopped green onions or just put a sprig of parsley.
This kind of salad can be served both on a normal day, for example, for dinner, and on a festive table. It is combined with any side dishes, however, due to the fact that it is quite satisfying, it can be safely served as an independent dish.
Ingredients:
- Hard cheese – 70 g.
- Chicken eggs – 3 pcs.
- Sardines – 1 bank.
- Onion – 1 pc.
- Mayonnaise – 50 g.
Cooking:
1. Using a special key, open a jar of sardines. Put them in a transparent and deep salad bowl. Crush the fish with a fork.
2. Peel the onion with a sharp knife, put it on a board and chop finely.
You can use purple onions instead of regular onions, it tastes more juicy and not so bitter.
3. Arrange the onion cubes on top of the sardines. Distribute them evenly.
4. Lubricate abundantly with mayonnaise. It is thanks to mayonnaise that the onion is well saturated and will not be bitter in the salad.
5. Boil chicken eggs for 7-10 minutes. After that, cool them by pouring ice water. Then peel the eggs and grate them on a large or small grater. Lay them on top of the onion.
6. Lubricate generously with mayonnaise.
7. Then grate hard cheese on top of the egg layer on a coarse grater.
8. Decorate the salad with green onions.
