Salad “Proletarian” is easy to prepare, but at the same time it has a rich and very bright aroma. The composition of the simplest, budget and affordable ingredients. It will be cabbage, fresh cucumbers, onions and greens. We will dress the salad with mayonnaise – such a sauce can always be found in the refrigerator, every hostess will turn it up.
The dish turns out like an appetizer – very spicy and juicy. Cabbage, cucumbers and onions go together perfectly and the result will please you. The fresh aroma of herbs will give the salad a unique taste. Today we used dill, but any other herb will work as well. It can be parsley or cilantro, whichever you have available and whichever you prefer.
We think that such an appetizer will decorate your everyday table and complement any side dish, for example, boiled potatoes or rice.
Ingredients:
- White cabbage – 200 g.
- Cucumbers – 100 g.
- Onion – 50 g.
- Dill – 7 g.
- Mayonnaise – 50 g.
- Salt, black pepper – to taste.
How to cook:
1. First of all, chop the white cabbage. Remove the top leaves and cut into thin strips with a sharp knife. Squeeze the cabbage lightly with your hands so that its fibers become soft and juicy.
2. Cut fresh cucumbers into medium strips, after cutting off the tails from them.
3. Pour all chopped cabbage into a deep container and add fresh cucumbers.
4. Peel the onion from the husk and peel, then cut the onion into thin half rings.
The sharpness of the onion will give the salad a spicy taste.
5. Transfer the prepared chopped onion to the salad.
6. Finely chop the washed and dried dill with a knife.
7. Pour all the greens into the prepared salad.
8. Add the right amount of mayonnaise to the dish. You can mix some of the mayonnaise with sour cream, it will also be delicious.
9. Salt and pepper the salad to taste, spices will improve its taste.
10. Mix the dish well so that the vegetables release the juice. Put the salad in the refrigerator for 20 minutes to infuse and become more juicy.
11. When ready, serve the dish to the table, putting it in a suitable plate or salad bowl.
