Hearty, quite high-calorie, with an interesting rich taste, and even festively decorated in the form of a cake – such an appetizer will definitely appeal to men and not only them.
The number of ingredients is rather arbitrary – everything will depend on the size of the form and the number of layers.
Ingredients:
Approximate calculation for V = 1.5 l:
- Salted crackers – 130 g.
- Boiled forest mushrooms / raw champignons – 250 g.
- Onion – 200 g.
- Salt, basil, a little chili – optional.
- Chicken breast – 1 pc.
- Curd cheese – 220 g.
- Cream 33% / fat sour cream – 40 g.
- Nuts (hazelnuts, walnuts) – 40 g.
For marinade:
- Mustard – 1 tbsp. l.
- Soy sauce – 35 ml.
- Honey – 1 tsp
- Vegetable oil – a little.
How to cook:
1. You should start by marinating the breast. Coat it with the necessary ingredients (do not salt, because the soy sauce is already salty) and let the meat soak for 20 minutes.
2. Saute very small onion cubes in a small amount of refined oil so that they are practically not noticeable in the future.
3. Finely chop the mushrooms (with the exception of a small amount for decoration) and add to the pan. Season with spices, salt. When all the moisture has evaporated, the mushroom component will be ready.
4. Grind the nuts (not into dust) with a coffee grinder or just a rolling pin.
5. Fry the breast on a Teflon substrate or without it, covered with a lid, over a fire below medium. This will take 10-13 minutes. Thanks to the marinade, which contains honey, the fillet will acquire a fried, as if smoked, crust.
6. When the meat has cooled, do not chop it too finely.
7. For dressing, mix cheese, cream – you should get a homogeneous plastic mass, which will be convenient to squeeze out of a pastry bag with a small hole.
8. Lightly moisten the form with water and lay with cling film, leaving hanging ends. Fill the bottom with crackers, breaking the biscuits in narrow places.
9. Apply a grid of curd cheese.
10. Spread out some of the mushrooms (you can spend all the mushrooms at once and reduce the number of layers of the snack).
11. Another layer of cookies.

13. Next is a piece of chicken.
14. Sprinkle it with nuts.
15. Continue building up layers with remaining ingredients, but add crackers last. Set aside a small amount of dressing for the outer coating. Cover the cake with the ends of the film and leave to soak in the cold.
16. After about 6 hours, turn the “Male Caprice” appetizer onto a dish, remove the film.
17. Spread the cream cheese dressing on the sides and top of the pastry.
18. Decorate with whole mushrooms, herbs.
The Man’s Caprice cake is well soaked, the crackers are softened, and the appetizer is easy to cut. All layers are perfectly visible, creating a beautiful cut. On the festive table, this snack cake will certainly not be left without attention. Try it!
